Welcome From Sir Alex
An introduction to Manchester United Soccer Schools
The history and traditions of Manchester United are what define us as a football club. We’re committed to playing exciting, attacking football, and place special emphasis on developing young players. Whether in our youth Academy, first team, or at one of our many Manchester United Soccer Schools football courses across the UK and throughout the world, we’re dedicated to helping players improve and to play with smiles on their faces.
I’m proud to say that few football clubs are as devoted to youth development as this club. And we showed that in 2010 by successfully retaining the Carling Cup, with a side made up largely of our promising younger squad members.
Success at this club is measured primarily by honours won, but we’re also dedicated to achievements off the pitch. Manchester United Soccer Schools enjoyed another hugely successful year, coaching over 1,800 kids at one of our residential courses in the UK, with youngsters coming from all over the world to one of our excellent courses.
Our priority is always to ensure the development of every child attending one of our courses. The development model allows us to provide participating children with the platform to be taught all the fundamental aspects of the game. And, as you’d expect, it’s all undertaken without detracting from the fun and enjoyment of playing the greatest game.
So 2011 promises to be another exciting year for everyone taking a Manchester United Soccer Schools course, and we look forward to welcoming children, parents and coaches.
